Beth Durling, MS, CADCII, ICADC leads a live online session open to families across the United States. The Fix Your Family program free of charge needs no insurance and meets every Monday at 7:00 PM CT / 5:00 PM PT. Sessions teach communication, compassionate boundaries, and conflict resolution.
Who the Monday session serves
Parents, spouses, siblings, other loved ones, and people in recovery can use the session to address family patterns shaped by substance use or mental health challenges. The work centers on what family members can change in their own communication, choices, and boundaries.
Fix Your Family is The Family Recovery Foundation's national signature program. Beth Durling, the Foundation's Executive Director and the program's creator, has more than 20 years of behavioral health experience and holds a master's degree in psychology. Her clinical approach draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems theory, trauma recovery, spirituality, and inner child healing.
The Family Recovery Foundation is a clinically facilitated 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a Christian faith-based orientation. The organization provides clinical and spiritual care. If you want to know how faith may appear in a Monday session, call 888-964-8825 before registering.
The broader family curriculum is built for different stages of recovery. Your loved one may still be using substances, entering treatment, or preparing to return home. That range matters because family communication and boundary needs shift from one stage to the next.
Family members need care too.
Monday start times by U.S. time zone
The same live Monday session begins at 8:00 PM Eastern, 7:00 PM Central, 6:00 PM Mountain, and 5:00 PM Pacific. The published schedule lists 7:00 PM CT / 5:00 PM PT.
| U.S. time zone | Monday start time |
|---|---|
| Eastern Time | 8:00 PM |
| Central Time | 7:00 PM |
| Mountain Time | 6:00 PM |
| Pacific Time | 5:00 PM |
These times refer to one nationwide online meeting. You do not pick a separate regional group. After registration, the Foundation sends a confirmation email with the current session time and link.
Use that confirmation email if your local clock does not match the four-zone table. You can also call 888-964-8825 to confirm the time before your first Monday.
Put Monday on the calendar.
Inside the weekly virtual therapy session
Beth Durling leads structured work on communication strategies, boundary-setting techniques, and conflict resolution. Those are the published focus areas for Fix Your Family. Expect family-centered teaching rather than clinical treatment for your loved one.
Communication work covers hard conversations and the words families use when setting limits. Boundary education separates your responsibilities from another person's choices. When conflict comes up, the focus is rebuilding trust without ignoring harmful behavior.
The Foundation's related Intensive Family Program adds 12 downloadable education modules. Topics include addiction, the central nervous system, codependency, manipulation, enabling, gaslighting, connective boundaries, and the transition home after treatment. Families can also use a Family Support Plan worksheet between live meetings.
For an outside reference on substance use disorders and the brain, read the National Institute on Drug Abuse overview of addiction science. The Foundation's modules turn that type of education into family actions such as preparing for a difficult conversation or writing a clear boundary.
A weekly format gives you a recurring place for this work without promising a particular result. Nobody can control another person's substance use from a family session. Families still get a set time to practice a different response.
Where the fix your family program free session fits
Choose Fix Your Family if you want structured Monday therapy on communication, boundaries, and conflict. The Foundation also runs other free online programs with different formats and schedules.
| Program | Schedule | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Fix Your Family | Monday at 7:00 PM CT / 5:00 PM PT | Structured family therapy and practical skills |
| The Family Room | Friday at 10:00 AM CT / 8:00 AM PT | Open-format sharing, questions, and peer guidance |
| Morning Meditation | Monday through Friday at 9:00 AM CT / 7:00 AM PT | A 15-minute guided mindfulness practice |
| The Courage to Detach | Last Wednesday each month at 5:00 PM CT / 3:00 PM PT | Healthy detachment, compassionate boundaries, and protection from enabling |
| 1-on-1 Family Coaching | By appointment | Direct work with a certified counselor on your family's situation |
The Family Room works better if you want an open support circle where relatives can share experiences and ask questions. Morning Meditation is a brief weekday practice you can pair with a therapy or support session. The Courage to Detach meets monthly for families working on love, limits, and personal wellbeing.
Registered families can also access a private messaging group with the Clinical Director and trained peer support team. That group runs 24/7 for ongoing guidance. It is not an emergency response service.
The right format matters.
